If you were expecting a restaurant, market or cafe and landed on a listing in this group, it usually means the original source listed the business under an unusual or mixed category rather than a plain food label. Contact information, address and hours are still pulled from the same public data used across Aurora and Illinois, so they should be accurate even where the category is not a perfect fit. Because this group spans everything from medical clinics to auto shops to gift stores, there is no single etiquette or norm that applies across it; treat each listing on its own terms and call ahead if the category alone does not tell you what you need to know.

We stopped in for anniversary dinner. All the food was delicious, drinks were on point, staff was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy. Try this place if you want an incredible meal. Madame Laveau drink- sweet and light tasting, baked oysters, beignets with raspberry sauce, and dinner (i forgot to take the picture of beef bordalaise, corn bread (a MUST), mac n cheese, and jambayla- but as you can see it was amazing.)

I have to say after dining in the Aurora area three times ever, it only gets better and today was that day! Recommended by local residents and I have to say it was amazing and so flavorful. The food could have been hotter but was warm enough to enjoy the robust flavors. The chicken and waffles amazing and waffle is so flavorful. Soft butter and pre poured syrup could have both been on the side for a crisper waffle. The gumbo was so full of amazing ingredients that were fresh and flavorful. It could have been piping hot and that would have set it over the edge. The perfect scoop of rice perfection on top was devine. The beignets to start is a MUST! The coffee could be way stronger but the thickness of the table side cream was excellent. The burger, biscuits n gravy and glazed wings were well received by others. Gravy could benefit from being thinned slightly with more sausage and piping hot. Overall a must visit, food is incredible and look forward to devouring many other items.

An outstanding French Creole dining experience! The service was warm, attentive, and truly superb from start to finish. We enjoyed the Maple Rouge Salmon and the Beef Bourguignon, and both dishes were absolutely exceptional—beautifully prepared, rich in flavor, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reflected the care and talent of the kitchen. We can’t say enough good things about the outstanding food and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return!

Though we had a wait, there was great hostesses! our waitress was very kind and looked out for us! She was able to make the best non-alcoholic drinks!! Now the food... delectable!!!! My husband is from MS, so this restaurant won his heart. The decor is amazing and it's cozy inside! I felt at home and nearly wanted to spin in the chair lol. We look forward to coming back!! Lastly, we met a part owner and he was friendly, asking about our food and just open to talk with us!!

This was our first trip to the restaurant. The menu is pretty small. It is very cute Inside. the service was fine. The crabcake appetizer you only get one and it was dry. The gumbo was not New Orleans style because it was bland and needed spices. The catfish dinner was OK and the New York strip dinner was OK. The beignets were cold and just boring dough. For saying this place is like New Orleans food it was quite disappointing!! we do go to New Orleans quite a bit and it’s not even close to it. Sadly I do not think we will be back.
